San Diego Kite Club Annual Fighter Kite Competition

The San Diego Kite Club ends each year with a fighter kite competition on December 31st.

The all-fly-one-style-of-kite class was flown with Grand Master Fighter Kites. Kevin Heredia won this class and the coveted Paper Dragon Trophy.

The open class competition was also won by Kevin Heredia, the young man swept the trophies. He flew a Fireball model of his Dad’s “Vic’s Fighter Kite”. Those historic fighter kites are still among the best!
