The San Diego Kite Club is grateful to have received a generous donation of kite building materials from Gail Lindsay. With this donation we now offer kite building materials for club members.
Available resources for members include fabric, reference library framing rods, edging materials, bridle line, and kite line. While supplies last, members may request materials free of charge by submitting a simple project form. Please review the details below before completing the form.

How It Works
1. You must be a current San Diego Kite Club member. Membership is $15 for one year or $42 for three years.
2. Current members can submit a Kite Builders Form describing their project.
3. Each submission is reviewed to facilitate acquiring building materials. We may not have everything you need, but we’ll do our best to help you get started.
4. After Review, you’ll coordinate with Equipment Manager, Erin Quinn to schedule pickup of available materials required for your current project. Some materials may be pre-prepared for efficiency.
5. Each new project requires a new form.
Why We Created the Kite Builders Corner
Kite building materials can be expensive, and we want to make them more accessible to our members while supplies last. We have a fair system to manage shared, consumable resources. Oversight helps us reduce waste, support more builders, and keep resources available as long as possible. Donations are always welcome if you’d like to help replenish supplies.
About the Form
The form helps our management team plan ahead and set clear expectations. Fabric and materials can be wasted quickly without preparation, so thoughtful planning really matters. When filling out the form, please provide clear and detailed information about your project goals. This helps us support your build while minimizing waste and delays.

Management & Oversight
This program is supported by a small volunteer team:
Erin Quinn, Jolly Roger, Max Plisskin, Ziggy Santa Maria, and members of the Board.
Their role includes managing inventory, reviewing forms, and distributing materials. Inventory updates will be shared quarterly as supplies change. Proposed projects will be reviewed in order they are received. If management can identify materials could be used more efficiently, they may suggest project revision. It is possible that their may be insufficient material to support a proposed project.
Let’s build together and get more kites in the sky.
