The second and third weekends are the dates for the Over The Line contest held on Fiesta Island. This makes for a mess at Tecolote Shores so we traditionally move to Mariners Point for our meeting. I don’t think this has been voted on yet this year but I would expect this to be official after the June meeting or this post will be corrected.

Activity: July is our club birthday, 28 years young this year. So we fly kites and talk of the good old days. Since we are going to be at the Mariners Point/Bonita Cove area I thought some might be interested to know that the 1985 AKA Convention was held here. The host hotel was The Bahia and flying was across the street. were we will be this month. In the article are several pictures. Note the lack of trees! Article is HERE.
