We have our next months Newsletter coming out at the end of September. Ziggy is working hard to bring you news of the past, present and future. This should serve all members to keep them well informed and keep a historical record of the work we do and fun we have.
October Club Meetup Details
Date: Saturday, October 10th, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Meeting Time: 1:00 PM – 1:15
Location: We will know more the week of the event. Keep in mind our primary location is Coronado Cays Park, secondary location is Robb Athletics Field in Ocean Beach.
We will likely end up at our third choice which is Dusty Rhodes Park – (Dusty Rhodes Pk, 2469 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107)
Location is subject to change so be sure and look back here the day of an event or check our social media profiles. We are at the beginning of soccer season and the fields we like prioritize local youth sports over any other activity.
Kites and Marigolds Event
We are current in discussion with the event coordinator Frank Carson| Director of Parks & Recreation | City of Chula Vista. We will provide more information about our engagement in this 2nd annual event. This is an underserved community that could use the San Diego Kite Club’s presence at. We are already coordinating our involvement with the team. The club Instagram and Facebook page will share more details about this event as we approach early October. A request to find volunteers for this event will go out within the next 2 weeks.
