We currently have 3 events between now and the end of November.
1st Event – Kites and Marigolds Event Postponed
We are current in discussion with the event coordinator Frank Carson| Director of Parks & Recreation | City of Chula Vista. We will provide more information about our engagement in this 2nd annual event. This is an underserved community that could use the San Diego Kite Club’s presence at. We are already coordinating our involvement with the team. The club Instagram and Facebook page will share more details about this event as we approach late October. A request to find volunteers for this event will go out within the next 2 weeks. The event is taking place November 21st, 2026. A flyer will be provided soon and updated here and on our calendar.
2nd Event- November Club Meetup Details
Date: Saturday, November 14th, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Meeting Time: 1:00 PM – 1:15
Location: Dusty Rhodes Park – (Dusty Rhodes Pk, 2469 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107)
Location is subject to change but very unlikely. Just in case, be sure and look back here the day of an event or check our social media profiles. We are at the beginning of soccer season and the fields we like prioritize local youth sports over any other activity.
3rd Event – The 3rd Annual Thanksgiving for the Earth: An Interfaith Prayer, Song and Kite Day
We are looking for several people to come out and fly. This volunteer event has no work involved other than show up, have fun and fly. Please contact President@sandiegokiteclub.org if you plan to attend and fill the sky with kites.
Again the Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice, now joined by the San Diego Kite Club, is sponsoring a FREE afternoon of prayer, music from Kol Tefillah, and kite flying to give thanks for our earth and the life it sustains. Join us on Sun. Nov. 22 from 2-4 PM at Ski Beach Park in Mission Bay, 1600 Vacation Rd, SD 92109. Fun for the whole family! Find more information and register here.
