Our own Robert Freed has agreed to put on a workshop for building his glider kites. You have may have seen him flying these kites at a meeting or at an indoor fly. These are generally quite active flyers although the one pictured below is a more gentle indoor flyer.

He will be showing his building techniques for a delta glider and a diamond glider. These techniques can also be used to build a small prototype of a kite before committing to the full size kite.

It is expected to be a relatively quick workshop at which you will be able to build a delta or a diamond of your own. There will be a small material charge of approximately $5 each.

Carey has arranged for us to use the Social Hall at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Santee so there should be plenty of room.

Any crafting supplies you can bring would be helpful in keeping things moving along: Scissors, Exacto knife, Rulers, Markers etc.

Please let Dave know as soon as possible if you plan to attend so we can be sure to have enough materials on hand:

Not sure what will be built in the workshop but here is my indoor delta with 21 inch wingspan
