San Diego Kite Club Members,

The September 9/12/15 Meeting theme will be Rev ShootOut.  This is a competition of three compulsory figures chosen from the AKA Rules and Regulations.  We’ll have a full day of Revolution kiting and a meal of Brats and Dogs. 

 The three compulsory figures chosen are:

MI18 – Roman Ten

MI04 – Two Down

MI16 – Lollypop

Line Judges will be Joe, Lolly, and Dave C.

 We’ve included the letter below from Lolly addressed to the kite club

Hi San Diego Kite Club,

We are excited for the Rev Shootout day.  All are encouraged to participate !!

Let’s call this the Rev mini-Invitational.  You are the official Rev Test Club.

After a great event in Long Beach, Washington, we have lots of exciting ideas.

We would love to add a few twists.

 

Challenge: We want to see Fun, Creativity, Crowd Pleasing, and Personality !!

Notice-  throw some figures in if you feel it…

We will have 2 groups.

1 group has 3+ years of Rev flying.

2nd group are less than 3 years.

All participants receive 20 Rev Bucks.

Winners in both groups.

Winner First place- $26. Cash (26 years of Rev), and 50 Rev Bucks.

2nd Place-  50 Rev Bucks

3rd Place-  Rev Stake.

Bring a friend, get a gift.

Joe will bring down the Rev Simulator for getting in some practice on the Shoot-out figures for the more experienced Rev flyers.    This is a great way to practice hovers, clock turns, and other control moves.

You can come by the Rev shop for some practice too !

The 2015 Rev Shootout will be held at the September General Meeting.
Listed below are 5 figures from the International Sport Kite Compulsories Book.
Want to do well in the competition? Practice these figures.
Sometime before the September meeting three of the figures will be chosen as the ones to be judged. I suppose you could wait until then to start practicing but you won’t have much time! Of course you could not worry about it and do a couple run trough’s on the morning of and hope for the best. Many do, so a little practice might go a long way.

You can be Thankful a mediocre Rev Flyer picked The Figures.
