Hi everyone, I’m Dina and I’m new to the kite club (and kiting in general) but enjoying it very much!

Myself and Cody joined the indoor flyers in August and had a blast trying out all the different gliders and learning the techniques of how to fly the gliders (harder than it looks!). I enjoyed seeing how every glider had a different personality and how some were graceful and gentle while others were quick and nimble!

Rick was kind enough to show me the basics with his glider and we loved practicing on the small practice glider. David and Carey both (bravely) lent their gliders to me for a few minutes to see the variety in glider shape and design.

At the end of the reserved gym time, we even took a group photo with the RC plane flyers (I do not have that photo) which was fun to see the two clubs come together. Flying the gliders that night inspired me so much that I am even in the process of sewing my own glider, based on the Urban Ninja design. With some luck, I will have it ready by the next meeting (or maybe the one after that!).
