Activity: At the May meeting we generally have a bit of a Memorial for all SDKC members who have passed. The rest of the time we fly kites, same as always. Bonus points if you fly a kite that belonged to someone who has passed.
(These are mythical bonus points – worth only bragging rights.)

Robert Brasington will be in town in July to present a kite making workshop.

Activity: It’s February so flying something Valentines Day related would be nice. Maybe bring your sweetie it they normally don’t attend. (But don’t let them hijack you instead!) Or maybe you would prefer to fly something for Presidents Day.

Also we will be having a Memorial Fly for Walt Thompson at about 2pm.. If you have one of Walt’s kites bring it to fly or his colors were red, wite and black so flying something with those colors would be good too.

Umpteenth Annual New Years Day Kite Fly (anyone know the number?)
We fly out on the sand at Mariners Point. Some people arrive early and leave early. Some arrive later and leave later. Some arrive even later and leave even later. Some people arrive later and leave earlier. The diehards arrive early and leave last. Whatever suits you is good with us. How Early and How Late is weather dependent.

Lunch is around Noon’ish or a bit later and is Pot Luck.
A-G: Main Dish
H-O: Side Dish
P-Z: Dessert

Activity: Fly All Day. At approx 2pm there will be a mass fly of Top Of the Line kites in honor of Don Tabor who passed recenly. If you have a TOTL kite bring it so we can get as many in the air as possible.

Activity: Fighter Kite Competition – Two Classes. First class – everyone flies the same type of kite. This year it is Grandmasters, $5 each, proceeds go to Walt’s family. Second Class is the Open Class. Bring your favorite fighter kite and kick butt.
