September General Meeting

Saturday Sep 14, 2013

If you weren’t there you missed it. We had a Chamber of Commerce day weather wise. Winds were very good: everything from no wind (if you were there early and wanted to fly you new indoor kite) to ‘should I fly the half vent or full vent’ during the Rev Shootout Competition.

We had a successful Rev Shootout Competition with 9 or 10 flyers. First place went to Cas Pittman and Dave Lambert won the participants drawing for the new REV that was given away.

UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!!

A Story and Pictures can be found here (or click on Previous Events in the Menu works too.)

August General Meeting

August 10, 2013

If you weren’t there you missed a great meeting. Sunny and warm but not hot, lots of people and a great variety of kites (including a resurgence of two line kites driven by new member Scott), and Chili dogs. And Elections, if you were there you would know who the new President is. Maybe someone will provide details.

Monthly Theme: Two Line Stunt Kite Tail Grab Competition – Won by Dan and Ron, or was it the other way round? Anyway they both got new kites – only slightly battle worn.

Photos Of Wind Wizard Memorial Fly

Greetings all.

For those of you who were unable to make the fly, we’ve got a nice link to some photos from the day’s events. I want to thank all who were there, physically or in spirit.
Also, something “official” from his family that will give you more insight on how are friend became the one we all cherished.
On another note, the VCKF web page will be changing URL’s soon and there will be a Wind Wizard Tribute Page.  Gather your thoughts and photos and when we’re ready to go, I’ll be in touch.
Best Wishes and Winds,
glen
